DO I NEED TO BOOK IN ADVANCE?

Our passenger numbers are currently capped at 10 per trip, so we strongly recommend that customers book their Tour Online in advance. Our full Summer schedule can be viewed through our online booking system.

IS THERE SOMEWHERE I CAN PARK?

Yes, there is ample parking in and around the Quay area of Westport. There is also some limited parking across from our location.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR/BRING?

Wear Sand Shoes, Shorts or Trousers. No dresses.

On cooler days bring a good coat, hat & gloves.

Bring a cap & sunglasses on warm sunny days.

Wear & Bring sun cream (VERY IMPORTANT)

A bottle of water & your camera/ phone are always good.

Always bring an extra layer. It will always be cooler than you expect on the water. If you feel it cold we also have weather proof suits for you to wear.

WHERE DO I CHECK IN FOR MY TRIP?

You can check in for your trip at the Rib Location which is on the Pontoon at the Point, the Quay Westport.
Passengers are required to arrive a minimum of 30 minutes prior to departure, to allow time to check in and get a brief safety demonstration. Customers that arrive late cannot be guaranteed their trip.

WILL I NEED TO COMPLETE A CUSTOMER WAIVER IN ADVANCE OF MY TRIP?

Yes – All customers are asked to complete a waiver prior to taking one of our RIB trips.

OVER 18’s: Must sign a waiver for themselves

UNDER 18’s: Will need a Parent or Guardian to sign the waiver on their behalf

We advise you give yourself ample time to read and sign the waiver.

WHAT ARE THE BOOKING OPTIONS

Not only are our Westport Rib Adventures suitable for individual bookings, couples and larger groups, you can also book a private charter if you would like the rib to yourself.
This booking type gives you full control, just tell the skipper where you would like to go. Mayo’s coast is your oyster!! Contact us about booking a Charter.

ARE THERE LIFE JACKETS ONBOARD?

Yes, along with your Personal Floatation Device (PFD) which will be fitted prior to departure there is also a life jacket per passenger located underneath your allocated seat aboard the Rib.

ARE WE GUARANTEED TO SEE WILDLIFE?

Unfortunately when it comes to Nature and Wildlife, this is out of our control.  The Mayo coastline is bustling with Seals, Birds and activity so you will see some level of wildlife but we can not 100% Guarantee anything.

Our crew will however always do their best to see as much as possible on your trip.

WHAT IF MY TRIP IS CANCELLED?

In the event of extreme wind conditions our trips will not run. If this is the case, we will offer you the opportunity to reschedule your trip for another day. If this is not suitable, we will issue you with a full refund. We require at minimum of 48 hours notice on any customer cancellations to allow for a full refund to be issued. Less notice than this and we offer a Voucher Refund.

WILL WE GET WET?

We will make every effort to keep passengers as dry as possible, however, we are on an open RIB and because of this, there may be some level of sea water spray which is unavoidable at times. Our trips include waterproof wear if needed to keep you as dry and warm as possible.

Remember, no matter how warm the day is, it will always be a little cooler out on the water!

CAN I BRING PETS?

No, our trip/ RIB is not pet friendly.

WHAT IF IT IS RAINING?

Our Rib Adventures go out rain or shine. We gear you up for the elements and off we go.

It’s all part of the fun!!

IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT?

Yes, our current RIB Adventure has an age limit of 8 years of age/ minimum height of 130cm for passengers

I HAVE A PROMOTIONAL CODE. HOW DO I USE IT?

If you have a PROMO CODE from a special offer, you will be able to add this code at the checkout page of the booking process. Once you place the code, the discount will be applied!

IS IT SUITABLE FOR PREGNANT WOMEN?

Our trips can get a little bouncy regardless of the sea conditions, so we advise against pregnant women taking these tours.

ARE YOUR TRIPS SUITABLE IF I HAVE BACK PROBLEMS.

As is the case for pregnant women, the conditions at sea can be unpredictable and we would advise against booking if you have back issues.

WILL I BE ABLE TO ACCESS THE BOAT IF I HAVE MOBILITY ISSUES?

Access onto the RIB requires a passenger to step across from the boarding pontoon to the deck area of the RIB and then a step down onto the lower deck. Our crew will be on site to assist with passengers embarking and disembarking if assistance is needed. Seating is provided by way of individual jockey seats so passengers will need to be able to raise their leg a little to get onto the seat. Other than this, no great mobility is required.
